Bickershaw North Masterplan
Bickershaw North is part of English Partnerships' (EP) National Coalfields Programme. TEP was appointed as masterplanner for the reclamation and regeneration of the 256 ha site and produced a series of masterplan options, focused on leisure, recreation and Ourism related uses. TEP worked closely with EP, Wigan Metropolitan Borough Council and a multi-disciplinary project team, including Engineers and Economic and Leisure Consultants, to ensure a creative and sustainable solution was developed.
TEP also prepared exhibition material for a series of public consultation events to guide the masterplanning process. The masterplan options formed the basis of an application to the OPDM to secure funding.
