Bridgenorth High Town, planning and Urban Design Strategy
In conjunction with BE Group, TEP developed an urban design strategy for the historic High Town of Bridgnorth, on behalf of Bridgnorth DC. Bridgnorth High Town is rich in character and it was essential to understand these characteristics, in addition to the strategic and planning context, in order to realise what elements detract from the town and the potential future issues and challenges.
The project involved extensive consultation with key stakeholders, including the local authority, developers, landowners, businesses and residents. The project culminated in the production of a strategy document, containing guiding principles for new development and the public realm, with the aim of enhancing the existing urban fabric and strengthening image and legibility.
