Fitton Hill neighbourhood campus, Oldham spatial Masterplan and Design
Oldham MBC appointed TEP to prepare a Spatial Masterplan and Design Framework, to guide the development of a 5.2 ha Neighbourhood Campus, which included a new primary school and neighbourhood and health centre. Stakeholder and community consultation was instrumental in the production of the masterplan. Throughout the consultation a series of ‘Opportunities Plans’ were produced illustrating ideas. These were revised at each key consultation stage to incorporate the views of the public and key stakeholders. This process led to the production of the final masterplan.
A design framework document was also prepared to guide development and set design and quality standards. The guide, which contains the masterplan, has been adopted by Oldham MBC as supplementary planning guidance.
