Public Realm Improvements to Vauxhall Road, Liverpool
TEP was commissioned by English Partnerships to design and implement a new public realm frontage to two development sites in north Liverpool. The works formed part of an environmental improvement programme to enhance the streetscape along the length of Vauxhall Road.
The design for the hard landscape scheme incorporated bespoke tree guards and grilles fabricated in stainless steel, informal seating and a simple, robust palette of paving materials, including coloured concrete. The contemporary choice of materials helped to tie the scheme in with the architecture of the new buildings, as well as establish a positive identity for the road corridor.
