Grappenhall Heys, Warrington - Masterplan and Implementation
TEP prepared a masterplan and development framework for a new residential area in south Warrington, for English Partnerships. Following this, TEP has implemented landscape and habitat creation works to the value of over £1 million, creating a new ‘village park’ and much of the landscape framework.
Work has focused around the restoration of a former estate, including a Victorian walled garden. Features in the garden have been restored and enhanced, creating a useable amenity space. The foundations of the former Hall have been uncovered and the ha-ha restored.
A network of footpaths and footpath cycleway routes has been created to improve access around the green space framework. Many of the routes incorporate specially designed gateway features, which further develop a sense of place.
