TEP developed a Vision and Landscape Masterplan that provides a coherent framework for activity in the ‘Mouth of the River Weaver’ area in Cheshire.
The Vision was grounded in the principles of multi-functional landscape planning. TEP used the ‘Countryside in and Around Towns’ document produced by The Countryside Agency and Groundwork, to balance social, economic and environmental interests.
The Landscape Masterplan has the potential to be adopted as a cross-boundary Area Action Plan by two adjoining local authorities - Halton and Vale Royal. This would ensure a consistent planning framework is applied to the area.
TEP’s work was “Highly Commended” by the Landscape Institute in 2006
