Land at Clear Farm, Bassingbourn

Cambridgeshire County Council are hosting a public consultation event on the future of land at Clear Farm.

The County Council have been developing proposals for residential development and this is your opportunity to comment.

The exhibition will be held on Wednesday 5th April 2017 from 3pm to 7pm in the Limes Community Room, High Street, Bassingbourn, SG8 5LD.

This will be a drop in session for you to consider the proposals and provide feedback.

The thoughts of the local community are important in further developing the design and all feedback will be considered in taking the proposals forward.

Following the consultation we will further develop the proposals for the planning application to South Cambridgeshire District Council

Members of the team will be available to discuss the proposals and answer any questions you may have.

All feedback will be considered, put into context and influence the proposed developments as part of a Statement of Community Involvement document to be submitted with the planning application.

Following the consultation process, an application will be made to South Cambridgeshire District Council . You will be given a further opportunity to comment on the proposals as part of the council’s formal consultation period.

1. With both a National and Local housing shortage identified, do you believe that Bassingbourn needs more affordable homes?

2. How do you think that these homes should be funded?

3. Do you believe that this is an appropriate site for development, and if not please explain why?

4. Do you believe there is a better location in Bassingbourn for a new housing development?

5. Are there any improvements that you feel could be made to the proposed scheme? (if so please elaborate)

6. Please list what you feel is positive about the proposed development?

7. If, under the planning regulations, the developer is required to make contributions to the local community infrastructure, what improvements to the site/village would you like to see? For example additional outdoor recreation equipment for adults or children.

8. Is there anything else you would like to mention in connection with the proposed Outline Application for 30 dwellings on land at Clear Farm?
