TEP was commissioned by GB Building Solutions on behalf of Manchester City Council to provide ecological and landscape architectural services for the part redevelopment of the secondary school (Years 7 to 13) under the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme.

The project involves the remodelling of part of the school and the introduction of a new sixth form building to the south of the existing school, along with associated highways improvements, landscaping and external works.

The landscape scheme included a new vehicle entrance, dynamic pedestrian entrance plazas, a covered courtyard incorporating an outdoor classroom and informal dining area, active play areas and several quiet areas.  The scheme was designed in full consultation with the staff and pupils.

TEP provided full landscape design and site inspection services to ensure the scheme was delivered to the satisfaction of the school, developer and local authority.
