Copshurst Quarry Mineral Processing Approved

Copshurst Quarry

TEP has been working with Marley Eternit on the site of Copshurst Quarry in Stoke, and we are pleased to announce the process of mineral extraction can now begin after permission was granted by Stoke on Trent City Council. This development will lead to the extraction of approximately 2.5 million tonnes of the rare mineral, Etruria Marl, which is almost exclusively found in the area surrounding the area known as the Potteries.

Etruria Marl is used in roofing and tiles for homes and the mineral will be transported to Keele Tileworks to be transformed and distributed.

The fruitful relationship between Marley Eternit and TEP shall continue and we shall be offering our services such as mineral planning advice, EIA, Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment, arboricultural assessments and ecological advice.
