TEP was commissioned to undertake survey, translocation and land management on behalf of Gibfield Park Group. The DEFRA licensed scheme at Gibfield Park, an 80ha site incorporating the former Bag Lane Open Cast Coal Site, is an example of one of our large-scale projects
This long term project commenced with an initial survey to establish the distribution of great crested newts across the site. TEP then undertook the design of a mitigation and compensation scheme to forward planning permission for the restoration of the coal site and development of a business park.
Ongoing works include trapping and translocation from restoration and development areas, pond and habitat creation and management, client advice and site supervision.
