The successful management of access on any site is critical to the long term sustainability, safety and security of the site, and is essential for land owners to satisfy their duty of care. TEP, in conjunction with Homes & Communities Agency has developed an Access Management System for the management of their land portfolio in the north of England.
The database and data capture tools were designed and implemented by TEP specialists, and integrated with a Geographic Information System (GIS). This allows the exact locations of trespass and access issues to be recorded utilising a mobile GPS unit and also records vital landscape and ecological issues such as invasive species.
Field data is used in the office to produce action reports for each site, which resolve access and security, whilst improving the overall management of sites.
