Career: Since graduating from Birmingham University in 2008 with a degree in Geology and Archaeology I have worked in archaeology in various guises including as a field archaeologist and site supervisor. I spent several years heading up an illustration department where I gained an interest in historic buildings which quickly became my specialism. I have completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Architectural History and enjoy publishing articles on interesting projects. I joined TEP as a Senior Historic Environment Consultant in 2018 and have had the opportunity to work on several exciting projects which have considerably helped my professional development and broadened my experience.

Project highlights: My interest in historic buildings has allowed me behind the scenes access to a huge range of sites and buildings including medieval timber-framed houses, stately homes, churches, and factories. I have to date surveyed well over 100 gasholders across the UK and once spent two weeks recording 108 historic bridges in Northamptonshire. A recent career highlight was an extensive project recording the entire Teesworks iron and steel making sites.
