TEP was appointed by Cambridgeshire County Council to prepare and submit an outline planning application for 154 dwellings on land adjacent Rampton Road, Cottenham.
As part of masterplanning and town planning services TEP produced the Development Framework and Illustrative Masterplan for the site, along with Design & Access Statement and public consultation.
The illustrative masterplan details 154 dwellings of various size and tenure, with up to 40% affordable housing, some of which would comprise starter homes and self-build plots providing for a locally identified need.
The proposals include enhancing recreation through the reconfiguration of existing playing fields, new green space provision within the development and further amenity green space through the integration of community woodland to the north. The proposals also reserve a portion of the land holding for the potential future expansion of Cottenham Primary School.
Planning permission was granted in May 2018 following a public hearing.
