We are absolutely thrilled to announce that we have once again retained our Investors in People (IIP) Gold Accreditation!
Attaining IIP Gold status is a fantastic achievement, and one which only 17% of UK organisations attain. It demonstrates how much TEP genuinely cares about the development and wellbeing of its people, and how our efforts into creating a positive work environment are received and appreciated by our staff.
Originally developed in 1991 in the UK, the IIP framework is now recognised in 66 countries around the world, establishing the accreditation process as a global benchmark for people management and development practices. The assessment process involves a rigorous evaluation of a company’s leadership, learning and development programs, employee engagement initiatives and performance management practices. All staff members are required to anonymously complete a comprehensive survey, covering topics including reward and recognition, diversity and inclusion, involvement and empowerment and support and wellbeing. A selection of staff members are also interviewed to enable IIP Assessors to gain further understanding of the work environment.
Following TEP’s assessment, we received the following feedback from IIP:
– It is an organisation which takes seriously its duty of care for its people. People feel they work for a caring, trusting, open and honest organisation. Several people related their previous experiences in employment as being unpleasant places to work compared to the far more positive and supportive TEP culture. People value the extent to which they are developed and increasingly their careers are mapped out.
– The organisation has a proactive people side to its team and its planning. It constantly makes strides forward with what and how it works with its people. It has very well-established PDR and mentoring processes.

It demonstrates our dedication to fostering a workplace that empowers and engages our staff, giving each and every employee a voice within the company.”
