Egremont Promenade

TEP was appointed by Mersey Waterfront to design and implement a £1 million landscape improvement scheme for Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council as part of the Pride in Our Promenades project. The aim of the scheme was to regenerate a 3km stretch of promenade between Seacombe Ferry and New Brighton on the Wirral.

The scheme includes a striking new high quality gateway to the promenade at Seacombe Ferry Terminal, as well as access and boundary improvements to the promenade and the historic Vale Park. Restoration of the historic Dr Poggi’s shelter was also completed in conjunction with Buttress Fuller Alsop Williams Architects.

As part of the design process the public were consulted on the proposals via a ‘People’s Panel’.

The Pride in Our Promenades scheme won the BURA Waterways Renaissance Partnership Award in 2010.
