Fulwood Park Open Space

TEP was appointed by the Homes and Communities Agency to design and oversee the implementation of a series of open spaces associated with a new residential development in Preston. The scheme consists of a central open space focused around existing water bodies; a sensory garden irrigated by roof water from surrounding houses and a Jurassic-themed play area to reflect the naturalistic, wooded setting.

A local artist was commissioned to produce a pair of sculptures, entitled ‘Brothers in Arms’ which makes reference to the English Civil War battle between the Roundheads and Cavaliers that was fought locally.

The development won Highly Commended in the Best New Build Village category of the YNH Best Development Awards (2005).
