Alun Evans

Associate - Ecology

Alun Evans is an Associate Ecologist with over 25 years’ experience in ecology, land use policy and environmental management across both the public and private sectors. He is experienced in habitat and peatland surveys, ecological networks, habitat restoration, and strategic nature recovery.


Before joining TEP, Alun led natural environment teams within local government, overseeing local wildlife site systems, ecological planning advice and policy development. His experience spans ecological assessment, large-scale habitat creation and restoration projects, habitat carbon storage and sequestration, agri-environment schemes and strategic ecological programmes across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management and an accredited River Condition Assessment (RCA) surveyor.
