Landscape Assessment
TEP delivers high-quality landscape assessment services that inform planning, design, and environmental decision-making. Our assessments help clients understand the sensitivity and value of landscapes and the visual character, ensuring development proposals are context-sensitive, policy-compliant, and environmentally responsible.
Our Chartered Landscape Architects undertake a range of assessments including Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA), Landscape and Visual Appraisal (LVA), Landscape Character Assessments, Landscape Sensitivity Studies, and Green Wedge Assessments. These are used to support site selection, design development, and planning submissions across a range of sectors.
Our team carries out field surveys and photography, and uses GIS and the latest software to produce well written reports with supporting figures, Zone of Theoretical Visibility (ZTV) mapping (if helpful) and labelled photosheets, to deliver clear, evidence-based outputs.
Our verified photomontage views and visualisations are particularly valuable in illustrating how proposed developments will appear in their real-world context, supporting transparent communication with stakeholders and aiding planning decisions.
Aligned with the latest industry guidance and local planning requirements, our assessment work ensures landscape considerations are fully integrated into proposals through a collaborative, landscape-led approach.
