ButtonWe deliver a full range of services including ecology surveys, habitat assessments, protected species licensing, Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA), and Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRA). We also design and implement habitat creation, enhancement, and restoration schemes to support biodiversity net gain and long-term ecological resilience.
Our work helps clients identify ecological constraints early and develop practical, cost-effective solutions that enhance biodiversity and meet regulatory requirements. We also contribute to strategic projects, working with local authorities and organisations such as Natural England to guide nature recovery and sustainable land use.
With over 40 ecologists nationally, our consultants are members of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) and we are a CIEEM Registered Practice showing our commitment to professional standards, training and continued development. We bring together wide-ranging technical expertise and strong delivery capacity to manage the complexity of multi-species and habitat projects efficiently, and in line with all regulatory requirements. Our ecologists are licensed by Natural England and Natural Resources Wales to undertake terrestrial and freshwater protected species surveys, including bats, great crested newts, otters, dormice, badgers, water voles, and birds.

Ecology SERVICES
Habitats and Botanical Surveys
We survey habitats and plant communities to assess ecological value, identify opportunities for restoration and enhancement, and inform design and management strategies.
Protected Species Surveys
Our experienced and licensed ecologists carry out surveys for legally protected and priority species to provide clear, evidence-based advice and inform development and conservation decisions.
Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA)
EcIAs assess the potential ecological effects of a proposed development. Our reports provide clear, evidence-based recommendations to avoid, mitigate, and deliver positive outcomes for biodiversity and the natural environment.
Protected Species Licensing
We prepare and manage licence applications for works affecting protected species, helping clients meet legal requirements while delivering practical, ecologically sound mitigation, enhancement measures and monitoring that promote long-term success.
Ecology Clerk of Works
Our ecologists oversee site works to ensure compliance with environmental legislation, safeguard sensitive habitats and species, and deliver successful ecological outcomes throughout construction.
Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRA)
Our Habitats Regulations Assessments evaluate the potential effects of plans and projects on European protected sites, supporting lawful, sustainable decision-making.
Habitat Creation and Management
We design and support the implementation of habitat creation, restoration, and management schemes that enhance biodiversity, strengthen ecological networks, and deliver lasting benefits for people and nature.
BREEAM Ecology
Our BREEAM ecology assessments and advice enhance site biodiversity, secure sustainability credits, and demonstrate measurable ecological and environmental benefits.
