Francis Hesketh is a founding Director of TEP with more than 30 years’ experience in environmental consultancy across the private, public and voluntary sectors. A Chartered Environmentalist, Chartered Landscape Architect and Chartered Forester, Francis played a leading role in shaping the practice’s multidisciplinary services.
Francis specialises in ecological assessment, habitat creation and mitigation, with particular expertise in UK habitats and protected species including bats, birds and great crested newts. He has delivered and negotiated complex mitigation schemes for infrastructure, residential and commercial developments, and has provided expert evidence at more than 50 public inquiries and hearings, including Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects. His work in green infrastructure and regeneration has contributed to nationally recognised and award-winning projects.
