Jonathan Smith

Jonathan Smith is an Associate Director and Chartered Arboriculturist who leads TEP’s arboricultural sector. With over 20 years’ experience in private consultancy, he has delivered advice on a diverse range of development, infrastructure and estate management projects across the UK.

Jonathan specialises in arboricultural impact assessment and development planning, and the integration of trees within complex multidisciplinary schemes, working closely with developers, trusts and public sector organisations. He has extensive knowledge of tree-related planning and legislation and built strong working relationships with Local Authority Tree Officers. Passionate about achieving practical, sustainable outcomes, Jonathan enjoys collaborating with project teams to develop innovative solutions that balance development objectives with the long-term protection and enhancement of valuable tree assets.
