Richard O’Shea

Richard O’Shea is a Principal Arboricultural Consultant with over 15 years’ consultancy experience, complemented by a background in tree contracting and local authority tree preservation work.

Richard specialises in tree risk management and BS 5837 planning and development assessments, supporting projects from early feasibility through to detailed design and implementation. He has delivered a wide range of complex and large-scale development projects, providing Arboricultural Impact Assessments, Method Statements and pragmatic advice to support sustainable development while protecting tree assets. Richard is also experienced in managing trees in historic landscapes which bring together many of his skills in mapping and data capture, specialist veteran survey methods and treescape analysis. Richard is known for his thorough, considered approach and commitment to high-quality technical delivery.
