TEP administer landscape management contracts on behalf of the Homes & Communities Agency (HCA) with an annual value of approximately £2M. These cover over 400 hectares including development land, landscaped public open space and landscape associated with existing commercial developments.
The contracts are derived from site specific management plans covering hard and soft landscape features.
TEP also assisted HCA in the development of a robust method for deriving long-term landscape management costs and endowments. The method includes classifying landscape elements on site, estimating lifespan and pricing up the repair and replacement requirements for each landscape element.
In 1991, 1993, 1997, 2007 and 2009 TEP were presented with the Landscape Institute Award in the Landscape Management Category.
