TEP was commissioned by the Medlock Valley Project and Manchester Leisure to establish a management plan format which could be applied to urban greenspace sites throughout Manchester.
TEP was subsequently commissioned by the Medlock Valley Project to produce landscape management plans for three sites in East Manchester – Clayton Vale, Lower Medlock Valley and the Grade II listed Philips Park, which together form part of a valuable green river corridor connected by the River Medlock. The work culminated in the production of a comprehensive management framework for the landscape. It outlined the arrangements for securing long-term management of the sites and set out the principles of landscape management.
