TEP was commissioned by Gleeson Homes to prepare a Woodland & Conservation Management Plan. The Management Plan was to satisfy a condition of the planning application for a residential development in the grounds surrounding Lawton Hall; a grade II listed building. The management plan encompasses archaeological, ecological, public access and silvicultural features of the woodland and incorporates them into a working programme. The woodland has a number of designations including a Tree Preservation Order (TPO), in part an Ancient and Semi-Natural Woodland (ASNW) and a Site of Biological Importance (SBI). The survey work included a general woodland survey, NVC survey, and protected species surveys.
