TEP’s Environment Grant Is Now Open for Submissions

The Environment and Mersey Forest Grant now open for submissions.

Over the past two years, our Environment Grant has managed to support six environmental projects, which includes the PLACED Academy, Friends of the Upper Wye and Sound Ecologist Richard Bentley. All these projects are raising awareness of important environmental issues and furthering the environmental profession, something we strongly believe in at TEP.

To continue the success of the past two years, March sees the launch of the Environment Grant for the third year running.  We are looking forward to supporting even more fantastic local projects and helping to make the world around us that little bit greener!

So, do you have an environmental project that needs funding?  Do you need resources for a community tree planting initiative?  Or would you like support for environmental learning opportunities?  If the answer is yes, then The Environment Grant or The Mersey Forest Grant could help.

The Environment Grant

The Environment Grant can offer funding from £250 up to £1,000, which is available to any individuals, groups, professionals, students, UK institutions or charities across the whole of the UK.  To be successful, applicants will need to demonstrate a drive to make an impact on the environment, by furthering the environmental profession and/or raising awareness of environmental issues.

The Mersey Forest Grant

We will also be continuing our partnership with Mersey Forest to offer funding for tree planting initiatives in the Mersey Forest area, which covers Merseyside and Cheshire.

If you have a tree planting initiative that falls within the Mersey Forest area, the Mersey Forest Grant could fund your project by providing tree whips or more mature branched trees.  There is no limit on the amount or type of trees but to be eligible for the Mersey Forest Grant, you will need permission from the land owner and be able to demonstrate your commitment to the future management of the trees.

For full details on the assessment criteria please read the TEP Grant Guidelines or if you have any further questions email the CSR Team directly: csr@tep.uk.com.
