TEP produced a Green Network Strategy for Wrexham County Borough Council. The first stage of the Strategy focused on Wrexham Town, Wrexham Industrial Estate and the surrounding countryside. The objective of the first stage was to produce a clear, concise and map-based strategy for the protection, development, design and management of the greenspace network in Wrexham.
The emphasis was on protecting and enhancing environmental and cultural capital to ensure that communities are connected with nature.
The second stage of the Strategy had a broader scope, analysing network of greenspace sites across the entire county borough of Wrexham. The analysis from both stages of the project allowed the identification of potential green linkages throughout the county.
Funding for the project was provided by the Countryside Council for Wales.
